Our Toronto / Montreal based client is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Functional Expert contractor to join their project immediately and will run 6 months with potential for extension.
This will be a hybrid work setting with 3 days of on-site work required.
- The ideal candidate will come from a strong SAP SCM (PP, MM, WM, IM) background but MUST have good experience with the PP module.
- The SAP SCM Functional Expert will collaborate with business and SAP functional teams to translate complex business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
As an expert technical resource, they will be responsible coordinate project activities and guide all application configuration phases.
- Certifications on SAP business streams like MTD ( Made to Deliver) solutions primarily cater to optimizing and automating logistics, supply chain, production planning, and order fulfillment) .
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a MUST.
- Must have experience in technical project management.
- The ideal candidate will have good understanding configuring and supporting any (not all) of the specific SAP processes like RTR, OTC, PTP, MTD, LOG / EWM, or FTP / IBP.
- Provide deep SAP technical and application configuration / support guidance to employees, colleagues and / or customers, especially related to the specific SAP processes.
- Lead technical configuration efforts for specific SAP processes under your responsibility; partner with project services and technical and operational teams to recommend preferred solutions.
- Oversee the SAP configuration / support for the SAP processes, ensuring adherence to configuration / support standards, quality, and deliverables schedule.
Adapts configuration and support plans as well as priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receives guidance from Functional Expert Manager (Configuration).
- Maintain compliance with established SAP processes and standards.
- Be the SME with internal teams like development (SAP and Non-SAP), infrastructure, PMO, business and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited university or equivalent.
- 7+ years of recent SAP professional experience, including one or more full life cycle of an SAP implementation.
- Certifications on SAP business streams MTD and others.
- SAP configuration experience in reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and Fiori (RICEF), and demonstrate expert-level skills in SAP configuration for a specific stream.
- Be well organized and capable of managing numerous priorities in parallel.
- Must have strong management, communication, planning, and administrative skills; you should have strong team player qualities and be a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a high quality.
- Bilingual (French / English) is highly desirable.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
