Job Type : Boot Fitter

Reporting to the Store General Manager, the Boot Fitter actively contributes to service standards of the department and ensures that customer service standards are maintained, and all service goals are achieved.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent boot fitting service in all aspects of the fitting process from beginning to end including add on sales, escorting the customer to the cash and / or introducing the customer to other associates to assist with their other shopping needs
  • Accurately identifies problems and the appropriate need for customized boot fits and custom foot beds to satisfy both recreational and competitive skiers
  • Accountable to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely fashion
  • Participates in execution of responsibilities on the department job lists
  • Promotes the Sporting Life Mission, Vision and Core Values consistently in all aspects of the business
  • Participates with the store team in achieving all aspects of service, store readiness, and safety practices and compliance with Sporting Life policies
  • Controls shortage through inventory control and adherence to Loss Prevention guidelines
  • Maintains appropriate paperwork, tools, and work stations in an organized manner
  • Adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), specifically Employee’s Responsibilities (Section 28)
  • Uses or wears equipment, protective devices or clothing that Sporting Life requires
  • Reports all hazards to the Store Manager
  • Follows all safety related rules, instructions, or signage at all times
  • Reports any absence of or defect in equipment or protective devices to the Store Manager
  • Operates equipment only upon being trained on the equipment
  • Promotes health & safety consistently in all aspects of the business
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Boot fitting certification would be an asset
