What will your typical day look like?

You will lead the strategy, campaign development, and measurement / optimization efforts for the PR function for Deloitte Canada.

This includes proactive PR outreach, executive communications and issues / reputational management. Key strategic responsibilities include :

  • Building the annual PR strategy for boosting the Deloitte brand, generating interest in Deloitte's offerings, and building credibility of leaders in the market.
  • You will develop and deliver all public relations activity with your team in support of marketing campaigns that strengthen brand health and drive demand for Deloitte's services.

You will also lead and execute campaigns for the Chief Executive Officer to strengthen Deloitte's position as a thought leader in Canada.

Campaign leadership includes strategic planning, execution, and measurement aligning to marketing's broader KPI framework.

Working closely with the firm's executive leadership team, office of the general counsel and senior partners, you will also act as an advisor on reputational issues-responsible for closely monitoring, managing, and mitigating risk as it relates to traditional and social media.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of media relations and issues management.

About the team

Part of the Marketing department, the PR team is an integral part of the Brand, Content and PR team. Beyond Marketing, the team works closely with executives and partners right across the firm to achieve their goals and provide counsel when interacting with Canadian media.

The Marketing team is spread across the country, with PR team members located in Toronto and Quebec.

You are someone who is / has :

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 10+ years public relations experience, preferably in corporate communications or a marketing environment; Agency experience an asset
  • A deep and thorough understanding of the Canadian media landscape, with established relationships and network
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with extensive experience dealing with senior decision makers both internally and externally, possessing the ability to effectively influence / communicate sensitive issues that align with Deloitte's business goals.
  • An effective problem-solver, with both a strategic and growth mindset
  • Motivating leader that can effectively engage, lead, and mentor a talented team
  • Deep experience using media monitoring tools to report on public relations metrics
  • French language is an asset

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
