Who we are looking for :
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a strategic and dynamic Director of Marketing to join our team. The ideal candidate is a performance marketer at heart, with a deep understanding of how each area of marketing connects to craft cohesive and impactful campaigns that will help boost the bottom line.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can see the big picture, yet is hands-on enough to dive into the details when necessary.
The Director of Marketing will lead and mentor a cross-functional marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment where each member is empowered to excel.
This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate lives in Toronto and will commute to our downtown Toronto office regularly.
Key responsibilities :
Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer, your job responsibilities will include :
- Planning & Execution :
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with business goals and drive revenue growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and refine positioning.
- Translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans and campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Team Leadership & Development :
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketers, providing clear direction, guidance, and feedback to elevate their performance.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
- Cultivate an environment where team members feel motivated to contribute their best ideas, take ownership of projects, and grow in their respective roles.
- Customer-Centric Approach :
- Champion a deep understanding of our customers and their needs, using insights to shape marketing strategies and ensure that our messaging resonates.
- Create programs that engage potential and existing customers, building brand loyalty.
- Gather feedback from customers and insights to improve our value proposition.
- Performance Measurement & Optimization :
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of marketing initiatives, ensuring a focus on outcomes that drive business growth.
- Use data to refine marketing activities, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing resource allocation.
- Report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders and adjusting strategies to meet evolving business needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Partner closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment across all go-to-market efforts and support the achievement of shared goals.
- Work cross-functionally to maintain consistency in our brand narrative and ensure a unified message is delivered across all channels and customer interactions.
Skills & experience :
- 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record of leading marketing initiatives and developing and executing campaigns that drive growth and revenue.
- 5+ years of people management experience, leading direct reports.
- Experience developing strategies and executing in multiple B2B marketing channels, including digital, content, events, partnership and social media.
- Experience leading and developing a high-performing team, with a knack for motivating and coaching direct reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
- Highly analytical and strategic but also possesses a genuine curiosity and a hands-on approach to getting into the details.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, tackling multiple projects simultaneously with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Enthusiastic about working for a purpose-driven company and capable of channeling that passion into strategies and campaign concepts that deeply resonate with target buyers.
