About the Role :

The Digital Marketing & E-commerce team is on the hunt for an SEO Specialist. You’ll be joining a digital team that is in a full rebuild as travel is rebounding.

This position will develop and implement on-page SEO strategies for G Adventures. The ideal candidate has well-rounded knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategy, as well as the ability to collaborate with content teams to manage content.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve organic rankings, drive search traffic, and conversions across our core global markets
  • Create and execute data-driven content strategy for G Adventures
  • Identify content gaps and conduct competitor research to target content opportunities
  • Monitor organic search performance to evaluate and improve strategies
  • Write compelling content briefs for internal content writers and external partners
  • Collaborate with the content lead to update and optimize outdated content
  • Execute keyword research and on-page optimization with respect to headings, page titles, descriptions, canonicals, URLs, internal link structures, etc.
  • Assist with implementation of SEO fields and content migration to new CMS as needed

Desired Skills & Experience :

  • College or university degree in business, marketing, travel and tourism or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in SEO on either the client or agency side
  • Previous experience developing and executing content strategy
  • Strong understanding of search algorithms and rankings
  • Proven track record of improving organic search rankings, and driving revenue through SEO campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other stakeholders including copywriters, web designers and web developers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide final SEO QA for new content
  • Comfortable with a range of SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc) to track and measure performance
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SEO best practices for on-page optimization

This a hybrid role, based in Toronto that requires 3 days per week in office.
