LIVE IN, LONG TERM, FULL TIME with a VEHICLE
Are you looking for a rewarding position as a nanny in Southeast Calgary, Alberta? We are a family located in Lake Bonavista seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and active nanny for our four year old son Lukas, and two year old Markus. The right, long-term fit is important to us as we consider our nanny truly a member of the family. We are looking for 30-40 hours a week.
If you are passionate about childcare and have experience caring for children of similar age groups, then this could be the first for you! As a nanny for us you will be involved with meal preparation, engaging in creative play indoors and especially outdoors, and providing a positive and safe environment. We would love to support trips to Lake Bonavista, the community centre, library, play gym, zoo, and so on. A car and license are a must. Lukas attends preschool each morning while Markus is at home and in various activities. Did I mention active? These boys are fun and live to be outside- we live in a wonderful community that enables that.
What would the right fit look like for us?
We would love someone to have experience working in a similar position and has a genuine love for children
We are focused on attachment based parenting and looking for the same philosophy in a caregiver
You should love the outdoors year round!
Our sons love to learn! Ideally you would have an ECE background or a strong interest in supporting this. They also love to be very involved with all activities and thrive on participating and being given a role in all things- this should fit with your approach!
You should be willing and able to drive our kids to toddler programming and various sites around the city (ie a driver's license is a must)
You should also be reliable, trustworthy, and have excellent communication and organizational skills
While our pets don't require care, they are very much in and around (our sons love them dearly!) so must love pets too! We have a very cool cat who requires no care, and a sweet dog who will occasionally need to be let in or out of the fenced back yard.
Should love meal preparation and keeping things interesting and nutritious for meals and snacks!
Both parents have home offices in the basement where they spend part of the time- you’ll need to be comfortable with a very fluid home situation with parents around at times.
We want our nanny to be a member of our family and value the right for. We also know this is a long term position that may evolve slightly over time as the boys approach school age- transitions can be challenging so ideally you would be looking for a position that’s going to last up to three years.
