Are you a Project Engineer who loves Mechanical design?
Do you love a challenge?
Do you love to design but would also like to see your designs through to manufacture?

If so, this might be the right role for you!

We are working with one of our great partners in the Waterloo area to find a dynamic Project Engineer/ Mechanical Designer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to create new designs from scratch and then help to manage the project through the full life cycle.

The right person for this role will thrive on wearing multiple hats and having every day look different!

Responsibilities
What will your day look like?
- Being involved in all aspects of projects, from conception to budgeting, to commissioning
- 50% of your time will be creating custom designs of parts and components for mass-produced equipment
- Speaking with customers to understand problems and create innovative solutions
- Occasional travel to customer sites, primarily in the GTA
- Working with internal and external stakeholders and building strong relationships

Qualifications
What do you bring to the role?
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with Mechanical design, and modeling, stainless steel is a strong asset
- Strong experience with PTO Creo or similar CAD software
- A desire and ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience designing automated equipment is an asset
