Job description

The Opportunity:

As the Senior Manager, AR/AP & Treasury, you will play a critical role in enhancing our client's end-to-end financial processes. This includes analyzing and improving accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions. You will also be responsible for reporting on financial performance, developing key performance indicators, and implementing new processes and systems. Through supporting continuous improvements, automation initiatives, and diligent oversight, this role directly contributes to the company’s growth, operational efficiency, and overall financial stability.

  • Dynamic Leadership Role: Take charge of daily operations in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments that impact the entire organization
  • Treasury & Cash Management: Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital strategies, liquidity planning and risk management to support business operations
  • Drive Best Practices: Innovate and implement best practices that elevate productivity and financial integrity, making a significant impact on the company's financial health
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance and other departments to manage cash flow effectively, utilizing your forecasting expertise to align collections and disbursements strategically
  • Mentorship Opportunities: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated AR/AP team, fostering their growth and optimizing team performance through training and support
  • Critical Financial Insights: Analyze and prepare comprehensive AR/AP reports, providing actionable insights and key performance metrics to guide management decisions and enhance working capital strategies
  • Transformative Tools Implementation: Play a pivotal role in optimizing accounting systems and processes, driving efficiency and innovation in the AR/AP functions across the organization

What We Need From You:

  • 5-6 years of experience in AP, AR and treasury management
  • CPA designated is an asset
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or distribution industry is an asset
  • Experience in systems implementation, process automation, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in systems such as Pronto, Cognos, and OneStream (or other mid-tier systems)
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
