We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and engaging tutor with Orton-Gillingham training and certification to work one-on-one with a student who requires specialized literacy support.
Job Summary and Tutor Requirements
Responsibilities
About the Student
We are seeking a tutor to provide individualized literacy support for a Grade 1 student who was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The student benefits from structured, evidence-based instruction, patience, consistency, and positive encouragement.
The ideal tutor will have experience working with young learners and students with learning differences, and will be skilled at creating a supportive, engaging, and confidence-building learning environment. Familiarity with autism and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the student's unique learning needs is highly desirable.
This is an in-home tutoring position located in the Tri-Cities area.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications, certification level, and experience.
