We are currently seeking applications for a Team Lead who will lead our Transportation Planning & Traffic Engineering (TPTE) Team. This individual will help us grow our team, support business development, encourage innovation and drive quality and efficiency throughout our business.
Your Opportunity
The TPTE Team Lead will work closely with our Alberta Transportation Leadership Team as well as our other discipline-specific Team Leads (Roads, Bridges, Transit & Rail, Aviation, CAD and Construction Administration) to deliver projects across Alberta and support work across Western Canada. You will be empowered to lead a team and will ultimately be responsible for the performance and success of our TPTE Team.
This opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual who is a self-starter, passionate about working with people and has a thorough understanding of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering.
Your Key Responsibilities
Administration / Team Management
- Work closely with other Team Leads as well as the Alberta Transportation Leadership Team, participating in regular meetings and acting as a conduit of information between your team and the organization
- Assist with the development and implementation of quality management practices and look for ways to improve design delivery, quality, and efficiency
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff to ensure projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner
- Facilitate goal setting, training, and performance reviews with each of your team members. Support recruitment, development, and succession planning
- Promote our strong safety culture, ensure this is at the forefront of our business and lead by example
- Ensure administrative requirements are met including mandatory training, safety requirements and professional development, as well as professional requirements from regulatory bodies such as a APEGA
