What you’ll be working on:

Supports Savers vision by performing the day-to-day role in support of the sale of goods. (U.S., Canada, and Australia) for the Wholesale division. This role collaborates with order entry, sales, and warehouse operations on shipping and projected inventory levels; receives and reviews orders and allocations provided by sales and operations; and initiates and creates orders for final distribution. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Transportation Distribution US.

What you have:

  • Ability to work with multiple transportation providers/vendors in support of the export process with the ability to understand and interpret export bookings.
  • Schedules export license inspections, fumigations and other government regulated inspections as required.
  • Ensure shipments meet established requirements by confirming shipment piece counts and weights, submitting export/domestic bill of lading instructions (meeting SOLAS requirements). Prepare customer shipment document packet.
  • Support customs compliance, inputting pre-shipment details for both Canada and U.S. (ACE/CERS)
  • Monitor and communicate shipment details, providing necessary documentation for tracking orders.
  • Collaborate with the Order Entry Department to resolve issues with invoices.
  • Manages all truckload cross border inventory transfers and related customs documents.
  • Proficient use of internal International Transportation System. (QAD Precision)
  • Collaborate with sales and warehouse operations on production and projected inventory levels.
  • Receive and review sales orders and allocations.
  • Update SharePoint/Teams with final sales order number and projected shipping date.
  • Support sales final order allocations, revisions, and extra orders.
  • Liaison between warehouse operations, sales, and customers.
  • Support Accounting and Sales Team relative to A/R holds.
  • Work with shippers for final inventory review and order release.
  • Process and input sales orders in D365 and also support final invoice posting in D365.
  • Provide preliminary packing slips to Traffic Team for distribution within USA, Canada, and AU.
  • Maintains international transportation records on all shipments for customs and accounting validation purposes.
  • Update weekly sales calendar.
  • Provide backup to support ocean import program for seasonal retail program.
  • Coordinate across multiple departments the process for final period end closing.
  • Update and distribute period end revenue report and work with finance auditor as needed.
  • Support the sale of Credential, order fulfillment/invoicing and weekly reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in domestic and international OTR (over the road full truck load) and Intermodal rail transportation.
  • Fluid knowledge of ocean export and import documentation and manifesting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of import and export multi country customs regulations with the ability to seek out industry resources as needed.
  • Must have strong skillset of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret international shipping tariffs.
  • Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish relationships with peers, internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Ability to learn and work with job specific systems such as SharePoint, D365, and QAD Precision.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 - 3 year experience in Accounting or a related area.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in ocean export and transportation.
  • 1 – 2 years of Customer Service exp
  • Knowledgeable about INCO terms (International Commercial Terms).

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to communicate and understand the spoken word.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations sound.
  • Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).
