Test Analyst – Intermediate (GOAPRDJP00000959)

Client: Government of Alberta – Technology & Innovation
Location: Edmonton, AB (On-site – 5 days/week mandatory)
Type: Contract (Contingent)
Position: 1
Extension: Up to 12 months

Project Overview

The Government of Alberta is modernizing its Procurement System and requires an Intermediate Test Analyst to support end-to-end testing across enterprise ERP and procurement platforms. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery through structured testing, defect management, and validation of Source-to-Pay (S2P) business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  • Participate in requirements and design review sessions to define testing scope
  • Coordinate and execute SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and system testing
  • Manage test data, test environments, and execution cycles
  • Log, track, and manage defects through resolution
  • Validate test results and ensure exit criteria are met
  • Provide test status updates, metrics, dashboards, and risk reporting
  • Collaborate with business users, SMEs, developers, and project teams
  • Support ERP and procurement system testing including integrations and workflows
  • Contribute to process improvements and QA best practices

Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years QA / software testing / UAT coordination experience in enterprise environments
  • 4+ years experience in test planning, test case creation, and execution
  • 4+ years experience coordinating testing with cross-functional teams
  • 4+ years experience in defect tracking, reporting, and QA lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting ERP systems (SAP, procurement, finance, supply chain)
  • 3+ years experience tracking test metrics, risks, and reporting status
  • 1+ year hands-on experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) testing (SAP Ariba / S4HANA or similar)
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

  • SAP Ariba, SAC, VIM, Fieldglass, or similar ERP tools
  • Experience with integration/API testing and end-to-end workflows
  • Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools
  • Knowledge of ERP implementation and testing lifecycle
  • Experience in smoke, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently

Work Conditions

  • Full-time on-site in Edmonton (no remote option)
  • Standard hours: 08:15 – 16:30 (Mon–Fri)
  • Must work within Canada
  • Government-provided equipment
  • Background check required
  • Mandatory security & privacy training upon onboarding
