  • Conduct site visits, field reviews, and provide construction support in challenging terrain and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Support Project Managers with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to junior engineers, geoscientists, and technologists
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to submission
  • Identify risks and propose practical, cost-effective mitigation and design solutions
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal standards, processes, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Professional designation (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) in British Columbia (or eligibility for registration with EGBC)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in geohazard assessment, geotechnical design, and project delivery
  • Strong expertise in slope stability, landslide risk assessment, rockfall analysis, and hazard mitigation design
  • Proficiency in geotechnical and slope stability software (e.g., GeoStudio, Rocscience Suite, Slide, RS2, or similar)
  • Experience with terrain analysis, LiDAR data interpretation, and GIS tools is an asset
  • Thorough understanding of applicable guidelines, standards, and risk management practices in BC
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement
