Job description
Technical Sales Representative - Industrial Calgary or Edmonton, AB (Remote)Bryce Delegarde of Lock Search Group is working with a proud leader in the Canadian Industrial Sector. They are looking to a motivated sales professional to be their new Technical Sales Representative . Focusing on generating sales, raising awareness, and supporting new products and programs for the customer base. This role will involve working closely with Regional Managers, Key Direct Distributors, and end users. The Technical Sales Representative will be based in Alberta but will have a consistent travel component (up to 75% percent of the month covering the western Canadian market). This will include trade shows and clients throughout the region.This role involves supporting Distributors' sales efforts through sales calls, gathering competitive data, and updating reports. It includes managing assigned accounts, maintaining sales materials, and coordinating trade shows and training sessions. The position requires assessing product needs, assisting with regional trade shows, and traveling up to 75%, including weekends. **This role is home based but the successful candidate will have to reside in Alberta markets*** Responsibilities:
  • Support Distributors sales efforts by making sales calls to company stores, end-user customers, independent jobbers, and service dealers to increase awareness and drive sales.
  • Gather competitive data and product information.
  • Update monthly and weekly reports as directed.
  • Personally manage assigned accounts through regular sales visits and develop strong working relationships with Distributor personnel.
  • Maintain sales support materials and have a comprehensive understanding of all product categories.
  • Coordinate Trade shows.
  • Organize product and sales training sessions.
  • Assist with key regional trade shows to maximize profitable sales outcomes.
  • Assess the product needs of WD’s jobbers and installers, and relay this information back to the company for new product evaluation.
  • Up to 75% local and overnight travel required, including weekend travel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma and 5 years relevant experience.
  • Sales experience direct to the WD, end-user application and Installer level preferred.
  • Ability to develop key stakeholder relationships, both End-user & Distributor
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • General repair knowledge in automotive, heavy-duty, and marine sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential.
  • Skills in setting priorities and managing projects are required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license
