Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Procurement Assistant.

About the Job:
Resolves all supplier related invoice issues, including PO, Self-Purchase Reimbursement, non-PO and Logistics
Maintains Blanket Purchase Agreement, Executed Agreement/Contract in system
Files negotiated prices, regular price, historical price for Logistics procurement category, and benchmark maintenance activities
Distributes documentation such as technical documentation, purchase orders/change orders, weekly project status reports, and follows up on each business unit price enquiries
Provides support to Purchasing staff concerning, Office Leasing, Design Change Instructions, Change Order’s, filing and distribution of procurement records
Creates RFQ and purchases orders for commitment to suppliers for small dollar best commercial goods and services
Expedites small dollar/catalogue purchases, ensuring the deliverable or service is complete and purchase order is closed
Assists procurement manager in preparing complex RFP and PO packages, prepares supporting documentation, and prepares correspondence procedures
Coordinates all purchase requisitions received in Procurement department; reviews the PR to determine purchase category and its complexity
The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience
1-2 years procurement experience or project management experience
Knowledge of organizational structure, operations, policies and procedures
Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
Must possess a high level of tact, initiative and diplomacy
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and apply mature judgment in an environment of changing and conflicting priorities
Proficient in company software packages
Must be a great team player
