Opportunity : Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project, focusing on design, procurement, and site preparation for the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor. The role reports to the Technical Director and involves planning, design, and execution of temporary work structures.
Responsibilities include :
- Collaborating with field teams to design temporary structures
- Creating detailed technical drawings and schematics
- Fabrication drawings, material take-offs, and quality checks
- Designing structural steel for platforms, scaffolding, and other temporary structures
- Providing progress reports and interfacing with clients and engineers
- Ensuring compliance with QA and quality standards
- Performing other duties as assigned
