Job description
We have an urgent opening for an experienced and certified High Reach Operator to start right away. The successful candidate will join our client in a busy distribution company in South Surrey, and will be responsible for operating a high reach forklift within a cold storage freezer environment. This is a fast-paced role that requires a high degree of skill, safety-consciousness, and reliability.

What You Need to Know:

Position: Temporary to Permanent
Role: Reach Truck Operator
Location: South Surrey, BC
Pay Rate: $24.50
Monday to Friday 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM


Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to commit to full-time hours
Candidates with access to a vehicle are preferred, as public transit can be challenging.

Responsibilities
-Safely and efficiently operate a high reach forklift (narrow-aisle reach truck) to move, locate, relocate, and stack products.
-Perform order picking, put-away, and replenishment of palletized goods in a high-bay racking system.
-Work consistently and comfortably in a freezer environment maintained at -18°C.
-Use an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner to accurately track inventory and complete orders.
-Conduct pre-shift inspections of the equipment and report any issues immediately.
-Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including specific protocols for cold environments.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications
-Certification: Must possess a valid certification for Reach Truck (Class 2).
-Experience: A minimum of 1 year of recent, hands-on experience operating a high reach truck is required.
-Environment: Must be able and comfortable working for the entire shift in a freezer at -18 degrees Celsius.
-Availability: Must be able to start work immediately
-Safety Gear: Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots. (Client will provide all necessary freezer gear, including a suit and gloves).
-Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent safety record, and a reliable work ethic.
