Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Solutions Architect to lead the design, standardization, and operational support of cloud infrastructure and deployment capabilities across AWS environments. This role combines infrastructure engineering, solution architecture, platform enablement, and production support, with a strong emphasis on automation, consistency, and scalable deployment patterns.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, AWS platform services, and modern deployment frameworks, while also serving as a subject matter expert for launch readiness, platform reliability, and new solution design.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code & Deployment Frameworks
. Create, manage, and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns, templates, and reusable modules.
. Develop and maintain CloudFormation templates and Terraform modules to support scalable and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
. Build and enhance standardized AWS deployment frameworks to ensure consistent, automated delivery across multiple AWS regions.
. Leverage tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitHub Actions to streamline infrastructure deployment and operational processes.
Solution Architecture
. Act as a Solution Architect for evaluating and implementing new platform and infrastructure capabilities.
. Provide architectural guidance for solutions related to: Secrets management GraphQL Federation Application deployments Observability
. Partner with engineering and platform teams to design secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud native solutions.
Platform Engineering & Developer Enablement
. Lead the buildout of Backstage Scaffolder capabilities to accelerate and standardize new application deployments.
. Design and support scaffolding workflows for deployments using: S3 / Terraform Spectrum GraphQL Federation Gateway and subgraphs
. Improve developer experience by creating reusable deployment blueprints and self service platform patterns.
Operational Support & Launch Readiness
. Participate in Iron Person support rotation as a key infrastructure and platform SME.
. Serve as the primary support contact for: Launch activities Infrastructure and AWS related issues BFF / Terraform support DNS Identity and Access Management Security related platform issues
. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues across development and production environments.
Cross Functional Collaboration
. Collaborate across engineering, platform, security, and product teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business and technical goals.
. Participate in planning, design reviews, operational reviews, and other cross functional meetings to drive delivery and alignment.
. Communicate technical decisions, platform standards, and architectural recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Strong hands on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and core platform services.
. Proven expertise in Terraform and CloudFormation for enterprise scale infrastructure automation.
. Experience designing reusable IaC patterns, templates, and standardized deployment frameworks.
. Strong understanding of CI/CD automation, especially with GitHub Actions.
. Experience supporting or architecting solutions involving: Secrets management GraphQL Federation Application deployment pipelines Observability platforms
. Working knowledge of: DNS IAM Cloud security controls Production support models
. Ability to operate effectively in both architectural strategy and hands on engineering support capacities.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.
