The Opportunity:

CGMH is currently looking for a Healthcare System Administrator. Under approval and direction from the Manager, Health Information Technology, the Healthcare Systems Administrator supports and administers enterprise IT systems with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure, and modern endpoint management using Microsoft Intune. This role ensures the secure, reliable operation of clinical and administrative systems in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Hands on experience administering SharePoint Online, including permissions, document libraries, and workflows.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID (Azure AD), including hybrid integrations.
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
  • Working knowledge of VMware virtualization platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and system hardening best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI reporting.
  • Healthcare IT experience, including MEDITECH EMR exposure.
  • Experience with Aruba networking technologies, including ClearPass.
  • PlanetPress Connect experience is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain healthcare IT infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance, and security.
  • Support Microsoft server environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Administer VMware virtualization platforms, including virtual machine lifecycle management, patching, and backup integration.
  • Design, administer, and optimize SharePoint Online environments, including site architecture, permissions, document libraries, metadata, and governance controls.
  • Support document management and collaboration in SharePoint Online, including versioning, retention, and secure sharing.
  • Develop and support workflow automation and business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps), integrated with SharePoint Online.
  • Administer Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and integration with on premises systems.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity lifecycle, role based access control, and conditional access.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint and mobile device management, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security controls.
  • Apply system updates and changes in accordance with change management, cybersecurity, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and application issues in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
  • Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Weekly after-hours on call rotation as required.
