Description :
Our client, is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Senior Document Controller for a contract role supporting our Growth and Operations Projects. This role is critical in managing project documentation and leveraging digital tools to enhance workflow efficiency and data visibility across multiple initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage document workflows, version control, and metadata using TC Energy’s document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OpenText).
Ensure timely distribution, retrieval, and archiving of engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and vendor documentation.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
Support audits and regulatory reviews by providing documentation and traceability.
Train and mentor team members on document control procedures and digital tools.
Maintain document control standards and procedures tailored to Growth and Operations projects.
Develop and maintain automated workflows and dashboards using : Power BI for reporting and analytics. Power Apps for custom document tracking and submission tools. Power Automate for streamlining approval and notification processes. MS Forms for structured data collection and project documentation intake.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5-7 years of document control experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong background in Growth and Operations Projects.
Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OpenText, Hexagon SDx, Aconex).
Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Forms) is an asset.
Strong understanding of documentation requirements for engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, API, and CSA Z662.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
University degree in administration or information management, and 5 years of experience, or a diploma / certification with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
