Job description

Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic and proactive Outside Services Sales Representative (OSSR) to continue growing our services business. The OSSR will be responsible for identifying potential customers, building relationships, and uncovering key opportunities for comprehensive solutions. They will become an expert in guiding customers throughout the lifecycle of their products and services, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Your external sales experience, combined with strong knowledge of the electrical and energy management sectors, will enable you to become a fully integrated member of our field services sales team. The person in this role will be responsible for driving revenue growth of our services business, maintaining a "trusted advisor" relationship with end-user customers, and providing training and support to appropriate distribution partners.
This role works closely with marketing, Schneider Electric product sales teams, and service operations management. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct customer-facing activities to determine project needs and provide value-added technical solutions.
The candidate will become the primary point of contact for these customers and engage other Schneider Electric teams as needed; * Prepare project estimates, assist in proposal development, deliver professional quotes, and follow up to ensure all customer questions and concerns are addressed; * Negotiate and win projects, with support from key stakeholders such as leadership, technical experts, and service operations; * Manage a personal pipeline of opportunities in the company CRM, and provide accurate reporting and forecasting of activities and opportunities; * Engage, support, and leverage core product sales teams and key partners to complement technical strengths and portfolio knowledge, ensuring success.
Joint sales strategies are essential for competitive differentiation; * Lead activities such as trade shows, customer events, industry events, and large-scale national campaigns as part of Schneider Canada's strategy; * Identify market opportunities and competitive activities/weaknesses, then execute new campaigns and initiatives while working closely with offering and communications teams. Required Qualifications and Skills: * Strong relationship-building skills and a proven ability to generate additional revenue; * Knowledge of both OPEX and CAPEX sales techniques in a B2B environment; * Ability to work directly with end users while also collaborating with and leveraging key distribution partners; * High level of knowledge in health, safety, and environmental practices; * Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role; * Flexibility to travel and work evenings when required; * Excellent customer relationship management skills; * Strong time management and organizational skills in a multitasking environment; * Strong internal and external communication skills within and outside Schneider Electric; * Excellent quotation and proposal management skills, including knowledge of sales terms and conditions; * In-depth knowledge of electrical products and applications, particularly low- and medium-voltage systems and related equipment; * Formal technical training (electrical or mechanical), such as CET, EET, or an engineering degree, combined with relevant commercial experience; * Bilingualism (an asset); * Strong computer skills; knowledge of Salesforce.com and Schneider Electric internal systems is an advantage.
