Wood is recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join its Projects Canada business. This opportunity is hybrid, based in Calgary or Edmonton AB.
This position will focus on engineering support for belowground pipelines within the oil and gas sector. The Senior Pipeline Engineer will provide technical expertise, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role includes pipeline design, material selection, cost optimization, and technical leadership to support major projects in Canada’s oil sands.

Expected:

Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Pipeline Engineering preferred)
- - 15+ years of experience with below-ground pipelines
- - Registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer
- - Familiarity with engineering standards relevant to the Oil & Gas pipeline industry, including CSA, ASME, API, and Alberta Pipeline Rules
- - Recent Western Canadian pipeline experience
- - Strong technical knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry
- - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- - Proven ability to work in a team environment while collaborating with various disciplines
- - Demonstrated willingness to learn and work independently
- - Strong technical writing and oral communication skills in English
- - Comfortable working in a hybrid (office and home) environment
- - Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
