Our team is committed to finding the right fit for both clients and candidates — we take the time to understand what drives people and businesses to make lasting connections. At STRIVE, we’re passionate about placing top talent in great organizations where they can make an impact.
THE ROLE
Are you an experienced Accountant looking to join a respected organization where your work directly supports the growth of complex, high-impact projects across the Lower Mainland? This is your opportunity to join a well-established company with a long-standing reputation for excellence in civil construction and infrastructure development. With decades of success, this organization has built a culture rooted in collaboration, integrity, and pride in delivering quality work that shapes the community.
As an Accountant on an 18-month contract (maternity leave cover), you’ll play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of a multi-division organization. Working closely with the Controller, project managers, and operations teams, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing job costing, and ensuring smooth financial processes across multiple business units.
This is a great opportunity for an Accountant who enjoys variety in their work, values teamwork, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet, bank, and intercompany accounts
- Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Perform variance analysis on job costs, fuel usage, and equipment hours
- Manage equipment costing, intercompany billing, and credit card expense reports
- Gather and input data from multiple systems into the company’s ERP
- Assist with cheque deposits, cash receipts, and related accounting functions
- Provide financial data and insights to support management decision-making
