Job description
Are you a "go-getter" with a passion for global logistics and a talent for multitasking? Our client, a dynamic manufacturing firm in Cambridge, is looking for a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their fast-paced, high-energy team. In this permanent role, you will join our client’s internal staff as part of a collaborative two-person logistics team. You will play a critical role in managing the movement of goods globally, ensuring that production timelines align perfectly with customer expectations

Responsibilities
- Maintain constant communication with the production and shipping departments to track goods release.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring all global customs and tariff documentation is accurate.
- Prepare essential documents, including packing slips, Bills of Lading (BOL), and shipping labels.
- Handle freight quotations and customer invoicing functions with high attention to detail.
- Communicate regularly with customers and logistics partners via phone, email, and radio regarding distribution timelines.
- Support the team by staying onsite during core hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, staying late when necessary for late arrivals.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
- A completed Supply Chain Diploma or a related educational background.
- Proven experience in global logistics and international shipping compliance.
- Ability to read blueprints or a strong willingness to learn the technical aspects of the product.
- Experience in the steel product manufacturing industry is highly preferred, as candidates from the food industry will not be considered.
- Strong "multitasker" mentality with excellent communication skills via email, phone, and radio.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Cambridge with a commitment to the 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule.
