Job description
Role: Mainframe Developer/COBOL Developer Location: Toronto, Canada Job Description: 4-6+ years of experience as Developer in development & maintenance environments involving COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMSDB, CICS
• Extensive experience in developing batch jobs using JCL.
• Experience in Document the Data Transformation rules in facilitating the Continuous Data Replication in SQL Server DB from IMS DB. Precisely’s SQData CDC.
• Experience in building the Data Resiliency process to compare the Source and Target Data Stores and report the discrepancies so that the data can corrected by Operations team. The data resiliency process should be built using IBM Infosphere DataStage.
- At least 2+ years of Experience in development of the project from COBOL to JAVA APIs.
- At least 2+ years of Experience in E2E Data Analysis and Data Validation processes.
- Provide timely and quality support such as incidents and operational reports to BU and IT stakeholders
• Perform BAU changes to support operational requirements such as ad-hoc or periodic update to application data and business logic
•Provide development and testing support to other interfacing systems
• Perform integration testing and PIV
•Develop, Unit-test and deploy new MF DevOps pipelines under RBC's Engineering Transformation Program (Nice to have)
Skillsets:
• Minimum 4 years development and/or hands-on application maintenance experience on large Mainframe applications
• Mainframe - COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMSDB, CICS, Focus, File-Aid, Xpeditor, ISPF and other mainframe tools/utilities
• Source Code Management - Endevor and GitHub
• DevOps – UCD, Jenkins, Sonarcube and ZUNIT
• Extensive experience in developing batch jobs using JCL.
