Job description
Attention Shippers!

Are you looking for a permanent and long term opportunity with the opportunity to grow?
WE have the perfect position!

An exciting and stable long term opportunity in the Scarborough Region!! Looking for experienced candidates in quality, shipping/receiving and overall warehouse duties.
Additional training will be provided. Clean, organized, safe work environment with friendly well managed team, and small team.
MUST HAVES:
- Experience preparing BOL's and shipping documentation - necessary
- ISO 9001 Experience - asset
- Forklift certified - necessary
- Dangerous goods/material experience - necessary
- Computer skills are a must!!
- Full-time shipper/receiver
- Straight morning shift with half Fridays!

Supporting and Working Conditions: Regular periods during which there is continuous physical exertion required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, lifting material or equipment,

Responsibilities
Document preparation for all outgoing and incoming shipments within Canada, to the United States, and internationally.
•Coordinate shipments between Carriers, Customers, Contractors, and Suppliers.
•Forward P.O. information to Suppliers.
•Reconciliate invoices with accounting for discrepancies in price or quantity.
•Freight selection ensuring best price and timing based on the shipment’s priorities.
•Assess freight requirements, review potential suppliers, develop a ship list, present recommendations and be able to justify the decision.
•Maintain centralized filing system including the ERP system on a timely basis.
•Focus on continuous improvement by recommending cost savings, system and process improvements.
•Participation in the monitoring and management of supplier delivery performance.
•Promote the effective utilization of ISO and safety procedures.
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
2-5 years prior shipping experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•High school diploma from a recognized secondary institution or equivalent.
•Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
•Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
•Good knowledge of proper Health and Safety practices, including but not limited to, industrial hygiene, WHMIS, care and use of personal protective equipment and safe lifting and handling techniques and procedures.
•Experience in transporting and handling dangerous goods.
•Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
•Forklift Certification.
