Location: Richmond Cem Plt BC Job Req ID: 17320 Join our amazing team and contribute as a: Journeyman Millwright ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize is recruiting Journeyman Millwrights to maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for our Cement Plant located in Richmond, BC.
This is a permanent, full time, hourly opportunity. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH * Maintain and repair heavy industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, large gearsets, crushers, and compressors * Service and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical systems: fans, blowers, conveyors (belt, bucket, screw, pneumatic), and vibrating screens * Repair and maintain gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and other rotating equipment * Respond urgently to equipment breakdowns while upholding safety and product quality standards * Perform regular inspections to prioritize preventative maintenance over reactive repairs * Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet maintenance and operational goals * Communicate with operations, delivery teams, and management to resolve mechanical and process issues * Maintain accountability by keeping managers informed and owning outcomes of decisions * Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aimed at maintaining top-tier facility performance * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Training/Certifications: Journeyman Red Seal status.
Preference to dual ticketed Required Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years heavy manufacturing/mining experience. Additional Requirements: * A commitment to working safely * Troubleshooting skills. * Self-starter: Capacity to work as part of a team and independently * Ability to work in various work environments (hot and cold). * Reliable and dependable * Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
