Job description
Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional looking to take the next step with a global industry leader? We are seeking a Buyer to join a dynamic team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will act as the bridge between manufacturing, engineering, and external suppliers, ensuring that inventory and technical components are acquired in a cost-effective and timely manner. This is a one-year contract position with the opportunity to work with a great team in a global organization.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love building strong supplier relationships, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Advantages
Compensation: $25-$29/hr based on experience

Flexibility: A predictable hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) to balance your work and personal life.

Career Growth: Opportunity to develop professional expertise with a highly respected global organization.

Responsibilities
Procurement & Inventory Coordination: Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire electronics and mechanical components.

Vendor Management: Primarily manage and maintain an approved vendors list (AVL), serving as the main supplier relationship point of contact.

Data & System Maintenance: Utilize ERP systems to manage transactional purchasing, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and material readiness. Use Excel for basic data extrapolation and cost analysis.

Sourcing & Value Engineering: Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure high quality at the best value. Assist with alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria when needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact frequently with internal engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as external peers, to ensure project alignment and smooth operations.

Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 5 years of related experience in electronic procurement or a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Technical Savvy: Comfort handling Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material readiness within the electronics or mechanical space.

System Skills: Experience with major ERP systems like SAP or Epicor is considered a strong asset. Proficiency in MS Excel for basic data manipulation.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships effectively.

Summary
If you are ready to bring your purchasing expertise to a collaborative, forward-thinking team, we want to hear from you!
