Job description

Who is a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist?
The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory levels related to fitness equipment, replacement parts, amenity items, Audio Visual equipment, furniture items and general facility needs. The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is focused on the end to end purchasing process from initial quotation through to the coordination of logistics delivery and vendor management.


What will you be doing?

  • Processes requests from various departments such as Service Technicians, Club Management, Club Design and Special projects.
  • Researches, identifies and compares suppliers
  • Analyzes requests to determine warranty and/or negotiated discount
  • Communicates between supplier and requester by providing order support and logistics of delivery
  • Supports Service Technician and Warehouse Staff with technician documents and escalations
  • Oversees club requisitions for specialty items
  • Warehouse Forecasting/Replenishment
  • Works with Management teams to understand forecasting needs
  • Knowledgeable with supply lead times and logistics
  • Reporting and Database Management
  • Responsible for generating and updating Inventory review for various warehouses
  • Supports Warehouse with faulty product and discrepancies
  • Manages a variety of reports to correct requisitions
  • Vendor Management
  • Effectively communicates expectations relating to timelines, freight and billing
  • Manages pricing and/contracts and updates database accordingly
  • Coordinates recall/proactive repair work alongside vendor
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with vendors
  • Order/Payment Reconciliation
  • Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
  • Works alongside the Accounting team to ensure goods have been received and charges coincide with purchase order

Compensation:

It is expected that the selected candidate will start at a base salary of $49,000. The annual range of expected compensation for the position is $49,000 - $61,000 determined by performance and time in the position.
