Reporting to the Directors of Operations and working collaboratively with the Office Manager, the Controller / Accountant will oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with regulations.

The Controller / Accountant will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of financial and accounting departments for operating and holding companies. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting :

• Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of internal and external financial statements, reports and regulatory filing.
• Coding invoices to correct accounts -Restore 365(DASH-Corelogic)

Characteristic and Ability Requirements

Educational Requirements

Education Required : Post-Secondary education in accounting, Certified Public Accountant

Other Education / Certification / Training preferred : Construction background considered an asset

Work Experience Requirements

Work experience required : Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an accounting position

Technical Proficiencies

Software : Outlook, Word, Excel, Restore 365 (DASH-Corelogic), SAGE 50, SAGE 100

Physical Requirements

This position requires low level of physical exertion. Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required.

Working Conditions

Time will primarily be spent in an office environment during regular office hours. There may be requirements to work additional hours on occasion.
