Job description
  • Performing technical research and prepare tax correspondence and memos for estate planning and corporate reorganizations

  • Completing complex tax planning calculations for corporate reorganizations and divestitures

  • Completing complex tax compliance

  • Providing support for team members on tax related matters for all clients

  • On an ongoing basis, identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients and proactively move the opportunity forward within the firm as required


What you must have:

  • Undergraduate University degree

  • CPA designation (preferred)

  • Enrolled in the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course would be an asset but not required

  • 3 years of public practice experience

  • Familiarity with the issues and challenges faced by small-to-medium sized businesses

  • Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter

  • Multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Effective relationship-builder – they want their clients and your direct reports to love you!

  • Bring positive energy to the team
