We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Journeyperson Millwright in Yorkton. This is a shift position with a fixed schedule. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
This position is responsible for the completion of thorough high-quality installations, repair, and maintenance of various equipment on site. Duties include routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Includes Daily maintenance of the plant equipment. Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions. Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries. Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals and other duties as required from time to time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance needs for plant equipment
- Inspect, install, adjust and maintain mechanical machines and equipment on site
- Machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and preventative maintenance
- Dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment
- Reading diagrams and schematic drawings
- Inspecting and examining machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area
- All other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications
- Possess a valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Millwright/Apprentice ticket
- Previous welding experience is required
- Industrial Mechanical experience in a food grade facility is a definite asset.
- Experience and ability in mechanical, hydraulics, automation and pneumatic maintenance in troubleshooting and repairing automated packaging equipment would be beneficial.
- Experience in high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment on site
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently in all weather conditions and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
