Intercity Packers is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS) Canada group of companies, which has been recognized by Forbes magazine to be among Canada’s Best Employers in 2026.As our innovative business continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking for a full-time Production Worker for the Seafood Processing Division at our Richmond location. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Worker is responsible for processing fish. If you can work in a cool, wet, fast-paced environment and under pressure with minimal supervision, we would love to hear from you!
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Wage: $20.75/hour (paid on weekly basis!)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Pin boning fish.
Lifting fish and packaging into bags/boxes.
Operating various production machines (ie. skinning machine, portioning machine).
Label boxes.
Making ice bags and boxes.
Push rolling buggies loaded with baskets of fish.
Feed fish into the machines.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Reliable means of transportation
Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment
Experience operating a forklift is an asset
Ability to walk and stand for long periods
Ability to learn and be trained in new skills and concepts required for the job
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures is an asset
Effective verbal and listening communications skills to connect with the team
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
