PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER 2

THE PERSON:

A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical Evaluation and System Management:
    - Conduct evaluations and manage engineering equipment and software.
    - Engage in system-level debugging, testing, and quick problem resolution.

  • System Administration:
    - Maintain DIAGs systems and networks; set up and maintain test stations.
    - Debug and resolve hardware/software anomalies.
    - Collaborate with IT for troubleshooting and compliance with IT/Infosec policies.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    - Support diagnostic engineers and managers upon request.
    - Assist with hardware inventory and management in labs.
    - Participate in cable management and 5S housekeeping initiatives.

  • Installation and Configuration:
    - Setup and maintain new DIAGs hardware, engaging in bring-ups.
    - Configure network switches; ensure proper labeling and setup of benches/racks.
    - Calibrate ESD and test equipment as needed.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    - Collaborate to improve and develop lab stations.
    - Utilize management systems for improved system health and lab utilization.

  • Root Cause Analysis and Storage Management:
    - Provide technical support for resolving equipment issues.
    - Manage unused hardware storage and inventory updates.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience setting up and debugging NPI/engineering test systems.
  • Lab management experience in maintaining a sophisticated and professional facility.
  • Proficient knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, with expertise in device driver and setup/debug.
  • Strong system-level debugging and testing skills, with the ability to quickly identify problems and provide robust solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • - HTML, JavaScript for Web Development.
  • SQL for databases.
  • Flask for backend web application development.
  • API integration experience.
  • Docker & Ansible for CI/CD processes.
  • Git for version control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant experience in lab management, electrical or software engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines
