You will be handling various measuring tools and using your judgment to grade products against established quality standards. Beyond simple inspection, you will contribute to the overall safety and organization of the Manufacturing & Logistics floor by maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to all safety protocols. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to contribute to a company known for excellence in the construction and home improvement industry.

Advantages

  • Steady day shift schedule (8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM), offering excellent work-life balance with evenings and weekends off.
  • Opportunity to work with a reputable company in the Manufacturing & Logistics industry.

  • Potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial one-month period based on performance and business volume.
  • Weekly pay through Randstad.
  • collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Accessible location in Thornhill.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and physical inspections of door systems and components as they come off the assembly line to ensuring they meet strict quality standards.
  • Identify and reject products that contain defects such as scratches, dents, misalignment, or structural flaws.
  • Utilize basic measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions against technical specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of defects for the Manufacturing & Logistics management team.
  • Communicate immediate quality concerns to line supervisors to prevent the continued production of defective units.
  • Sort and separate defective products for rework or disposal according to company procedures.
  • Assist in packaging finished products once they have passed inspection to ensure they are ready for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, removing debris and potential hazards from the inspection station.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality accuracy.
  • Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Quality Control or Inspection role is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing & Logistics or general labour environment.
  • CSA-approved safety shoes are required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Reliable transportation to the Thornhill area for an 8 : 00 AM start.
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the contract.
