Private Family Seeking Experienced Full-Time Nanny Newborn & 3-Year-Old | 18-Month Contract We are a warm, professional family seeking an exceptional, experienced, and highly dependable full-time nanny to join our household for an 18-month contract. We are expecting a newborn son and also have a wonderful 3-year-old son. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about childcare, highly intuitive, organized, proactive, and confident caring for children at different developmental stages. This is a position for someone who understands that being an excellent nanny goes beyond simply supervising children. We are looking for someone who is able to anticipate needs, maintain a calm and organized environment, and become a trusted and valued part of our family’s daily routine. Position Details * Full-time, Monday–Friday * 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break * 18-month contract * Lunch break is unpaid; nanny is responsible for providing their own meals * Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and overall suitability * This is strictly a non-live-in position * The successful candidate must have their own accommodation and will work exclusively for our family during their scheduled hours Essential Experience & Qualifications The successful candidate will have: * Extensive, hands-on experience with newborns, toddlers, and young children * A strong understanding of newborn care, routines, feeding, naps, and developmental stages * Experience caring for multiple children and confidently balancing the needs of a newborn and toddler * Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents * French language skills would be considered an asset, but are not required * A clean criminal/background check, which must be presented at the initial interview * Two recent professional childcare references, also required at the initial interview * A valid driver’s licence * Your own reliable vehicle Responsibilities This is a childcare-focused role, but we expect our nanny to take ownership of the children’s environment and day-to-day needs. Responsibilities will include: * Providing attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for our newborn * Caring for, engaging, and supervising our 3-year-old * School drop-offs and pickups for our 3-year-old * Organizing and participating in age-appropriate activities, play, and outings * Children’s laundry * Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children * Cleaning up after meals and activities * Keeping children’s bedrooms, play areas, belongings, and common areas used by the children clean, organized, and tidy * Maintaining the children’s routines and schedules * Preparing for the children’s upcoming needs without requiring constant direction * Following our parenting preferences and household routines carefully and consistently We are looking for someone with strong intuitive skills and initiative — someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it rather than waiting to be asked. For example, if the children have finished an activity, their space should naturally be reset; if laundry needs folding, it should be handled; if the children are approaching mealtime, preparations should already be underway. Driving A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle are mandatory. The position will include school drop-offs and pickups for our 3-year-old, as well as occasional transportation related to the children’s activities.
