Hello nannies, PSWs and housekeepers! I am looking for a housekeeper and child care provider / mother's helper to care for my children who have special needs, ages 10 and 15 in Burlington, Ontario. My full time nanny is taking an extended vacation from Dec 1 - Jan 25. I will require someone to cover her absence. Monday - Friday 7 : 00am - 10 : 00am and 3 : 00pm - 7 : 00pm. Saturdays would also be helpful. Duties include, but are not limited to : preparing and administering special diets, tube feeding (training will be provided), assisting in a 2 person transfer of a teenager who is 125 pounds, toileting, housekeeping, cooking, and laundry. You would be responsible for caring for only one child at a time, never both. Ideally the candidate would be able to work the split shift, however I am open to filling the position with 2 workers (i.e. 1 worker for the morning, 1 worker for the afternoon). I am also open to filling the job with different workers based on their skill set, for example, a worker to care for the children, and a worker to do the housekeeping and cooking.Rate is competitive at $26 - 30 per hour based on experience and reflects the fact that both children have special needs, and that this is temporary position, although it has potential to continue part time when my nanny returns.Requirements : -excellent communication skills-Police check-liability insurance (which I will assist you to obtain)-experience with children with special needs would be an asset-valid CPR would be an asset-must be legally able to work in Canada (I am not able to provide sponsorship at this time)The ideal candidate would live locally in Burlington and have reliable transportation.
