Description
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our healthcare team in Hamilton, Ontario. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals in need. You will assist clients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort and well-being. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have a solid commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support clients with nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding.
Monitor the client's health conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
Assist with mobility and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
Collaborate with family members and healthcare staff to develop individual care plans.
Requirements
Must have a valid certification as a Personal Support Worker.
Must have a Clear criminal record check
Previous experience in a caregiving role is an asset but not mandatory.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compassionate and patient demeanour.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Good to have a Valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle is an asset.
Must be eligible to work in Canada
