Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with a strong background in COBOL and Informatica, particularly within the insurance industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining mainframe applications, managing data feeds, and supporting batch processing and job scheduling.

This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and Informatica.
Work with insurance data feeds, including N0110 (Premium Feed) and N0130 (Claims Feed).
Manage batch processing and job scheduling tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mainframe applications.
Document processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development within the insurance industry.

Proficiency in COBOL and Informatica.

Strong understanding of insurance data feeds and regulatory requirements.

Experience with batch processing and job scheduling.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other mainframe technologies and tools.

Knowledge of SQL and database management.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
