Overview
Location : This is a hybrid position based out of Cycling Canada’s office locations in : Ottawa, ON; the Greater Toronto Area; or Bromont, QC. Remote candidates may be considered under exceptional circumstances.
Salary : $45,000 – $52,000 annually, plus comprehensive health benefits.

Summary
Summary of the role : We currently have a vacancy for an Events and Officials Coordinator. The Events & Officials Coordinator will work under the leadership of the Events & Officials Manager supporting the coordination, the administration and the logistics of national calendar events and the officials (commissaire) portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Events : Assist with planning organizing and administering national calendar events, including the implementation of marketing & brand guidelines for Canadian Championships & Canada Cup events.
- Events : Support and lead on-site event delivery and activations at national calendar events, including the track events in Milton, ON.
- Events : Lead the logistics surrounding Cycling Canada’s event collaterals and equipment, including ordering and inventory management and general office shipping if needed
- Events : Lead Canadian Championship registrations, post-event survey distribution, event report collection and support the maintenance of Canadian Track Records.
- Events : Lead the points tracking and Canada Cup series, including overall winner prizes
- Events : Support planning and activations of community events as needed
- Events : Lead the development of Technical Guide templates
- Events : Assist with Cycling Canada’s planning and on-site support of Canada Games portfolio
- Events : Liaise with the Sport Integrity Canada to lead the antidoping portfolio for domestic events
- Events : Assist the national commissaire assignment process, communication, and maintenance of Cycling Canada’s Commissaire Assignment policies
- Events : Maintain Cycling Canada’s Commissaire database and assignment portal and collaborate with the developer for improvements and initiatives
- Events : Assist in the planning, organizing and administering of commissaire development opportunities while supporting new initiatives from the CCOC.
- Events : Support eLearning commissaire modules for maintenance and updates, including general support with the Learning Management System as required
- Events : Assist the development and maintenance of various Cycling Canada’s commissaire policies and rulebook
- General : Maintain and update content on Cycling Canada’s Website as it relates to national calendar events or commissiairing
- General : Assist with the preparation, logistics and draft minutes for Cycling Canada’s Events Committee (CCEC) & Officials Committee (CCOC)
- General : Assist the process for annual domestic awards (Commissaire & Events of the Year)
- General : Additionally supporting general office administration duties as required
Qualifications
Travel
On a consistent basis, the Events & Officials Coordinators will be required to travel to meetings, events or program activities within Canada. The association has a compensatory time off policy to cover such travel necessity.
