Job Description

• This position provides administrative support in material management to the SGS Life Science Services Laboratories.
• The incumbent must be capable of multi-tasking to meet the departmental needs working with laboratory supervisors and clients on a regular basis.
• Standards and reagents are entered into LIMS system accurately and on timely manner in order to avoid incorrect data transfer to the data base
• This position operates under limited supervision.
• Multitasking ability at high level to get job done due to proper priorities listing
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines based on self-motivated capacity and a sense of urgency in order to meet client and laboratory staff standards/reagents log-in requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development equivalency (GED).
• A post-secondary education in a recognized administration program would be an asset.
• Previous experience in an administrative or technical role in a pharmaceutical environmnet would be an asset.
• Prior technical experience in a chemistry related role would be preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions / Standard Operating Procedures in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Candidates must be proficient in using various type of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and be able to demonstrate good keyboarding skills.
• Must be highly organized and able to work effectively and efficiently in a demanding environment with frequently changing priorities.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
• Ability to work well with others & independently.

Salary: $21.00/Hour
