Job description
Your responsibilities

· Provide technical and end-user help desk support for web-based and digital systems.

· Performs systems analysis of business problems with varying scope and complexity that includes requirements definition, interfacing with users and providing cost/benefit analysis

· Work with users to support and develop applications to meet the business needs

· Maintain SQL Server databases. Utilizes SQL diagnostics involving fine tuning SQL queries and enhancing performance using SQL profiler and scripts. Create views, stored procedures, and UDFs as part of database development.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiencies within enterprise solutions, collaborating with divisions on localized systems.

· Document application software solutions, metadata, and processes to support application migration, on-going development, and end-user issues.

· Recommend modifications of IT systems to improve and simplify business systems

· Communicate project status to key personnel including supervisor, project stakeholders, sponsors and project team members on a periodic basis.

· Participates in new or alternative technology evaluation related to development tools, databases and methodologies.

· Operational support & reliability: Troubleshoot production systems, perform structured root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and provide after-hours / on-call support as needed.

· University degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, with an emphasis on programming.

· 5+ years of related experience

· Knowledge in client/server application development, architecture, database-connectivity and database design methodology

· 2 + years of SQL DBA/Developer experience in a Data Warehouse environment

· Experience with data integrity, data retention, data analysis and data input/output processing and improving SQL code performance efficiency

· Strong SQL, data-warehouse and stored procedure skills

· Preference will be given to those applicants who have a working knowledge of C#, Visual Basic, ASP, JavaScript / VBScript, and T-SQL

· Knowledge of Telerik Tools, Web Server Administration, Database Administration, SSIS and SSRS will be considered an asset

· Experience using PowerBi will be considered an asset

· Exposure to Agile development methodologies and MS DevOps will be considered an asset.

· Knowledge of warehouse management and automation technology will be considered an asset

· Project Management experience
