Job description

Are you looking to join a well established company in the north end of the GTA? Our client is a family-owned business with a strong history in the construction industry. To support their continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist for their Corporate Head Office.

The Payroll Specialist will manage full-cycle payroll for approximately 120 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing using the ADP payroll system, administering employee benefit and retirement programs, supporting the HR function and handling all payroll-related remittances and reporting, including union obligations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels to provide payroll-related support and guidance.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of payroll administration experience,
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ADP payroll systems
  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience with union payroll, including dues, benefits, and pension remittances
  • Experience with WSIB, benefits administration, and group RSP plans
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is an asset
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
