Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent Experience in the retail trade would be an advantage. Professional look. Friendly layout. Reasonable fitness level. Minimum 2 years of experience as a grocery store clerk. Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus. Attention to every detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of product quality, hygiene, safety and food preparation. Have a good sense of communication and organization. Ability to work in teams. Basic math skills. Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, such as lifting and carrying heavy objects, climbing ladders, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. 30 to 40hours per week

- Guide customers to the appropriate aisle or shelf to help them make purchasing decisions.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and orderly.
- Store and replace the product to prevent damage.
- Keep shelves stocked with fresh produce.
- Prepare store displays and ensure products are properly labeled.
- Order out of stock products.
- Process customer orders and payments.
- Throw away expired items and put items near the expiration date on special promotions.
- Receive goods for the store.
- Packing items.
- Label items with prices.
- Support customers with questions.
- Greet customers and assist them with questions, suggestions and finding items.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, place stock orders, receive goods, and record discrepancies.
- Product storage and rotation of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Make sure all products are fresh and safe to eat.
- Discard products showing signs of damage.
- Installation, maintenance and restructuring of product screens.
- Maintain a clean and organized shopping environment.
- Comply with health rules and safety standards.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
Terms ofEmployment :
Salary : $13.00 -$20.00per hour
Required Years ofExperience : 1 year to 2 yearsexperience in Store Shelf Stockers, Clerks and Order Fillersor in related filled.
