Our client is a global supplier of choice in the food industry, recognized for its distinctively designed flavors and specialty ingredients. They provide the highest quality, safe food ingredients and are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As a leader in the industry, they are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Order Desk Associate to join their team on a 2 month contract.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in customer service, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Receive customer orders via email, phone calls, and other communication channels.
Bring customer orders to the attention of the production manager to ensure timely delivery and meet deadlines.
Coordinate alternative solutions with the production team to meet customer expectations, ensuring excellent customer service.
Track orders and ensure accurate data entry into the company system for seamless processing.
Manage administrative tasks as assigned, including order follow-ups and maintaining organized records.
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Maintain a professional and customer-friendly communication style at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in business, administration, or related fields preferred).
Proven experience in a customer service or order processing role, preferably within the food or manufacturing industry.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with order management systems is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet to address customer concerns and deadlines.
A team player who is willing to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
