:
The Sr Support Engineer on the Data & Analytics Operations team, is responsible for safeguarding our client’s data, by providing superior operational support both on premise and in the Cloud.
This role requires 24x7 support on a rotational basis and is subject to Over Time.
We are looking for a candidate that is deeply curious and possesses the keenness to learn, develop and execute with excellence.
If you have a background or education in Computer or Data Science, Engineering, Software Development or IT Application/Technical support, this role may be for you.
Technical Experience
4+ Years of experience with the following Datawarehouse & Analytics technologies is required:
- Datawarehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) environments
- ETL Tools: Informatica PowerCenter/Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Mainframe technologies; TSO, ZEKE, JCL, COBOL
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, flat files
- Knowledge/Experience in Windows and Unix
- SQL Scripting
- SAP technologies: Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reporting
- Experience using GitHub Copilot
As we transform our internal business support model in Data & Analytics Operations, new employees will have the requirement to learn and support the following tools and platforms therefore, these skills are a definite asset:
- Big Data solutions experience preferably using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent Public Cloud
- AWS or equivalent Cloud Certifications
- AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Python/R
- DevOps: BitBucket, CICD Pipeline, Ansible, Jenkins
- Generative AI
- Agentic AI
What you will do on a day to day basis:
Operations Lead Support:
- Work with stakeholders, business leaders to influence, impact, and deliver on operational improvements, incidents, assignments & solutions that are complex and strategic in nature.
- Act as Operations Lead working with project development teams to ensure transition of operational support
Day to Day Competencies:
- Maintain and support end-to-end application operations
- Monitor and support jobs and application performance
- Use excellent analytical skills to dive into the processes we support to resolve complex data discrepancies or job failures
- Lead, monitor, identify and implement operational improvements
- Develop an understanding of the business applications supported as well as the business direction
- Ensure compliance with Incident, Problem and Change Management policies and processes
- Deploy enhancements to production jobs using DevOps tools
- Ensure appropriate prioritization and resolution of defects in accordance with agreed upon SLA
- Provide on-going communication to key stakeholders to ensure they are aware of significant changes in a timely manner
- Provide technical documentation that includes design and operational support documentation
- Deliver innovative solutions by leveraging data and technology
- Engage, influence and work collaboratively with Project Teams, Operation teams and vendors
- Proactively share knowledge and coach others to build the support engineering community

This role requires Reliability Status Clearance.
