Job description
Do you have experience with IBM (Cognos BI) and SAS Institute (SAS, SAS Viya) solutions for business intelligence and analytics? Do you have experience in administration and configuration of IBM Cloud Pak for Data and Cognos including access control, application deployment/maintenance, auditing, data sources, encryption? If so, this would be a great opportunity for you!

Our client is looking for a Senior Middleware Specialist for a 12 month contract in North York.

This is an onsite role.

Rate: 539.77-575.6

Responsibilities
• Support the Business Intelligence and Business Analytics technical infrastructure and ensure it is available during this critical period
• Design and implement solutions for automating the monitoring of the production servers as to allow quick intervention from the technical team
• Ensure that systems are upgraded as requested by the vendors and that all vulnerabilities are promptly addressed
• Support the quick deployment of new/upgraded solutions as required by the development team
• Work closely with architects and developers as to ensure that the applications deployed in production are secure and optimized for the available infrastructure
• Document the various procedures and best practices as to ensure that proper knowledge transfer is done to the permanent technical support
• Sustain existing operations through maintenance of the database infrastructure; support of development environment, IST, and production environments
• Support AWS Cloud, Redshift and OpenShift infrastructure, as well as Cloud Pak for Data
• Address any performance or availability issues for BIBA infrastructure and work with ITS to identify and solve the problems quickly
• Investigate and Resolve incidents and engage IT Support and the development team as needed.
• Execute service requests related to routine and ad-hoc system upgrades (operating system and application).

MUST HAVES:

• Experience with IBM (Cognos BI) and SAS Institute (SAS, SAS Viya) solutions for business intelligence and analytics

• Administration and configuration of IBM Cloud Pak for Data and Cognos including access control, application deployment/maintenance, auditing, data sources, encryption.
