Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will be part of a team responsible for assembling enclosures for data centers and oil and gas units. They will use blueprints to install mechanical components and hardware as needed. The role involves using hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install flux bars and bus bars into electrical cabinets.
• Install parts and equipment in electrical boxes and components.
• Assemble metal buildings according to instructions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• 1+ years of experience assembling parts for panels/electrical boxes.
• Ability to read a tape measure (both standard and metric).
• Efficient use of hand and power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round.
• Safety-conscious with the ability to perform heavy lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with switchgear, breaker, and panel assembly is beneficial.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck experience is considered an asset.

Work Environment

Work in a main shop located in a new building. The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Overtime is available after 40 hours in a week. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as CSA-approved boots, safety glasses, and gloves are mandatory.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
