Job description

Job Title : Controller

Location : Toronto - downtown hybrid

Industry : Technology

Salary : $125,000 -$140,000

Our client is a rapidly growing, founder-led business entering a new stage of expansion. They are looking for a hands-on Controller to build their financial foundation and lead accounting, financial operations, and reporting alongside the leadership team.

Responsibilities included but limited to include :

Oversee all accounting operations, including AR, collections, payroll (small), billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end / year-end close.

Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial modeling to support new pricing strategies and growth plans.

Prepare financial statements and KPIs for leadership, partnering across teams to optimize processes.

Ensure compliance, coordinate audits, and maintain strong internal controls and risk management.

Qualifications

  • CPA is required
  • 8+ years of related Industry experience and a passion for Technology, AI or Cyber Security.
  • Experience working within a small team and collaborating with other Business Unit leaders.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.  Tech and System savvy with strong Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
