We are now looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join our international finance team. In this role, You will work with accounting activities across countries and support entities throughout our global organization. In this role, you will handle cross‑border financial processes in a complex value chain with high standards for accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

The role

As our new Senior Financial Controller you will become part of an international company where finance is expected to drive value creation, operational transparency, and continuous improvement.

This role requires all-round accounting/controlling skills. From daily hands-on tasks to complex discussion with operations, production leadership, HR, and senior stakeholders across our Greenland operations.

What you will be doing

  • Drive operational performance
  • General ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing incl. preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Coordination with external auditors
  • Ensure high quality in financial data, accruals, reconciliations, and cost allocations
  • Collaboration with finance colleagues in Greenland, Denmark, and other international locations
  • Facilitating the process for improvements and standardization initiatives

Who you are

You are detail-oriented, curious and proactive. You have a structured mindset combined with a hands-on approach.

You probably bring:

  • A degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Experience from a senior accountant or financial controller role
  • Strong analytical capabilities and commercial understanding
  • The ability to communicate financial insights in a simple and impactful way
  • Strong Excel and ERP/reporting system skills
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Experience from production and SAP is an advance.
