Learn more at: General Maintenance Worker plays an important role in keeping the property safe, functional, and well-maintained. Working approximately 30 hours per week, this hands-on position completes routine building maintenance, minor repairs and cosmetic updates throughout the property and its residential suites. Success in this role means demonstrating practical repair skills, reliable follow-through and respectful communication with residents and colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Complete routine building maintenance and minor repairs under the direction of the property management team.Perform painting, drywall patching and other cosmetic repairs in residential suites and common areas.Replace light bulbs and lamps, clean fixtures, and assemble or move furniture as required.Support the upkeep of building grounds, common areas and parking facilities, identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.Assist with loading, unloading and moving supplies, equipment and materials, including completing property-related errands.Respond to resident maintenance concerns and urgent situations within the scope of the role, escalating technical repairs when required.Perform light janitorial and other property-related duties as needed while following all applicable safety requirements and company procedures.Required Skillsets:Practical knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials and supplies commonly used in building maintenance.Experience completing painting, drywall patching and general minor repairs.Ability to organize assigned work, manage priorities and work independently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a respectful, resident-focused approach.Ability to safely perform physical duties, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing ladders and remaining on your feet for extended periods.Valid driver's licence, clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Two or more years of experience in residential, facilities or general building maintenance, or comparable hands-on repair experience.Relevant building maintenance, trades or workplace safety training will be considered an asset.
